JENNERSTOWN — U.S. Rep. Mark Critz, D-Johnstown, paid a visit to a local business while spending a day in Somerset County.
Officials from Boswell Pharmacy Services, which provides pharmacy services to correctional, nursing home and assisted living facilities, asked for Critz's help in expanding the business and obtaining government contracts.
“They have a proven model of quality and performance,” Critz said. “We need to see at the federal level how to break into that level.”
The pharmacy is licensed in all 50 states and does work in Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Illinois and West Virginia. Kathleen Martella, chief administrative officer, said she would like to see the business diversify and grow. She said during the tour that the business has room to expand and add jobs. It is also exploring federal contracts.
