After months of campaigning tomorrow is the only political poll that actually counts - the primary.
Tomorrow polls open at 7 a.m. for voters to cast ballots in some highly contested races, including the 12th Congressional District and U.S. Senate races.
The special election ballot to fill the remainder of the late U.S. Rep. John Murtha's term will be the first ballot to appear on screens for 12th district voters, Somerset County elections director Tina Pritts explained. Voters in that district will have to vote for that race and their respective party primary. Third party voters will see only the special election ballot.
First time voters will need to bring some type of identification with them to the polls. Pritts said identification includes a drivers' license, voter registration card or utility bill.
Anyone supporting a candidate has to stay outside the polling area at a minimum of 10 feet from the entrance. Pritt...
