Valley voters take to polls with many primary decisions to make

Polls are open until 8 tonight, and Pennsylvania voters will choose party nominees for U.S. Senate, U.S. House, governor and lieutenant governor. In addition, half of the state Senate and all state House members are up for re-election.

Key races:

• In the U.S. Senate primaries, Republicans will choose between Pat Toomey and Peg Luksik, and Democrats will choose between Sen. Arlen Specter and U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak.

• Four Democrats and two Republicans are competing for party nominations in the governor's race.

Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Hoeffel, Auditor General Jack Wagner, Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato and Philadelphia state Sen. Anthony Williams are vying for the Democratic nomination for governor.

On the Republican side, Attorney General Tom Corbett and Reading Rep. Samuel Rohrer are fighting for their party's seat.
